October turned out to be fruitful both in politics and economy and not only because of unprecedented vintage, and cooperation between the government and wine-makers for the revival of this strategically important brunch started in the country. <\/p>\n

The Ministry of Agriculture has already carried out certification of 19 sorts of wine. Now every marani (location for storing wine in special pitchers) has a register of its own. We have switched to civilized methods of wine-making, when there will be almost no place for falsification by either our entrepreneurs or peasants growing vine. Under this approach the brunch will not only bring currency into the country, but will make us proud abroad of having such product. It is natural that business community will say its say, since it\u2019s up to businessmen to promote this business on the international market, and for this purpose they form an association, so that each brand would have corresponding single advertisement. That is why this year, in spite of price rising, especially for white grapes, peasants and farmers has had a considerable yield. I am glad that the Chamber of Commerce\u2019s efforts in this brunch were not futile and we are heading for serious results.
\n It seems that the construction of Baku-Jeikhan oil pipe-line started only yesterday, and today the first oil is already being loaded in the Georgian territory. At the same time, the visit of Kazakhstan\u2019s President Nazarbaev makes it clear that this oil pipe-line will actually be Aktau-Jeikhan pipe-line, and Kazakh oil will go by this main. In spite of the fact that we have neither gas nor oil fields, we are really becoming a part of international gas and oil market. That is why in this issue\u2019s international review we will analyze the situation shaped around this issue.
\n We have also started a discussion about economy\u2019s freedom index, which becomes relevant against the background when Asia-Pacific business forum is held in Georgia in late October, and our country has been visited by investors from Asia\u2019s leading countries. The next issue of our magazine will be devoted to this forum, and in this issue we will accentuate the issues of business environment\u2019s improvement. In particular, creation of a new Tax Code is being finalized in the Parliament, and we will start its consideration on our magazine\u2019s pages the way it was when we set a precedent examining imperfections of the Tax Code\u2019s consideration in the Parliament. I assure you that any constructive and real proposal started by our readers or entrepreneurs will be taken into consideration. Very important is participation of large-scale and small scale businesses in this matter, as well as in the issues concerning simplification of business accounting, which professor Lali Chagelishvili presents in the traditional rubric. At the same time a complete case of statistical information is published concerning the indicators of both our macroeconomic indicators and the international market.
