The essence of a firm’s competitive ability and its indicators are considered in the article. Special attention is paid to the effectiveness of a firm’s activities and its indicators.
There given such description of scientific approach for determination of a firm’s competitive ability as structural and functional directions. It is stressed in the article that determination of quality of the produce is based on marketing theory and implies comparison of goods according to engineering and economic factors.
At the end of the article there shown the criteria which a firm should meet so that its entering the market should be least risky.
