Internet industry is under “construction” in the information and telecommunication area of Georgia. This can be viewed as an inevitable stage in the country’s development and as an essential development condition in the world information and communication sphere.

The above-mentioned development is promoted by favourable geo-political situation (with effective and projective arteries), fast development and profitability of Internet segment, formation of network infrastructure, etc.
Georgian Intrenet provider market is of special interest. It is remarkable for diverse service, healthy competition, internet availability, etc.
Despite the attractivity of Internet provider market, it still needs investments (especially, foriegn capital), modernisation of communication network, informational facilities, organisation of technology educational centres and educational process, improvement of legislative framework, etc.
State programmes should be implemented intensively in order to provide organisations and production establishments with computer equipment. This will lead to the growth of employment in the sector of informational technologies as well as fast formation of informational economy.
