REGULATION OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE VIA MECHANISM OF INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS (RESUME)

VAJA KAKABADZE, DAVID KARTVELISHVILI

The given article considers possible economic losses after membership of Georgia in customs union of CIS countries on the basis of logical thought, graphics and mathematical calculations.

Losses of countries are connected with change of international trade direction, as well as with the increase of custom tariffs that range from 1,5%-2% in accordance with mathematical calculations (on the basis of Jone’s formula). This indicator is too great for such small country as Georgia.
In this article four main levels of international trade contract relations (integration stages) are singled out, too. These levels correspond to initial, middle, high and deep stages of integration. There is also short analysis of four stages of interrelation of political and economic results with the given integration. Orientation on European market as well as the necessity of maximal use of “Free Trade Zone” agreement within CIS frames is also advised in the article.
