On October 27-28, the first Asian business forum and the 70th meeting of the committee of the confederation of Asia-Pacific region’s chambers of commerce and industry (CACCI).
The 70th meeting of CACCI’s committee will be held on October 27. Business sessions on the following subjects will be held: the Asian council for textile and ready-made clothes, chemical industry, young entrepreneurs’ committee, development of small and medium-scale enterprises, ITC – information and communication technologies, tourism, women’s role in business.
On October 28, Georgian Prime Minister will open the Asian business forum. The President of Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Jemal Inashvili, the President of CACCI – K. K. Modo, the Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce and the President of Korean Chamber of commerce and Industry –Young-Sung Park will address the forum.
The main reporters will be: on the Georgian part – the Finance Minister – Alexi Alexishvili, and CACCI’s honorary preident – Jeffrey L.S. Ku.
The first plenary session will be devoted to investment and business abilities of Georgia. The speakers will be the ministers of the economic bloc and Georgian businessmen. The second and the third plenary sessions will be devoted to investment and business abilities of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Also a discussion on the subject of the “changing dynamics in Asia” will be held: the role of international financial institutions.
The forum will be closed by a final speech of CACCI’s president, after which a press conference will be held. CACCI will award the best business representatives from Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan in the following nominations: honorary award to the workers of commerce and industry chambers of each country, representative of successful business, a contribution to the development of the country’s economy, the best woman-entrepreneur.
